We’ve been photographing weddings at Swinton Park now for several years. Come rain, snow or shine it’s always been a favourite of ours to work at and we absolutely love visiting the venue.
The castle hotel is an ancestral home and creates an outstanding wedding venue. It’s surrounding in beautiful Yorkshire Dales parkland and enjoys a spectacular setting.
They have a wide choice of function rooms and offer various packages from exclusive use to a wedding for ‘two’ option. The venue can easily fit a marquee on the side should you need it. New for 2012 they also have an Olympic package, this caters for 60 guests and includes exclusive use of Swinton Park for one night, all 30 bedrooms (which are simply stunning), drinks, reception, wedding breakfast with wine, sparkling wine for the toast and bacon butties (yum yum) served late evening. They also include the little extras such as, the services of a professional toastmaster, a bridal make up trial, and a menu tasting!
The Swinton Park team are friendly and professional and provide a seamless level of service together with a total commitment to ensure that your wedding day exceeds every expectation.
The photography options are endless, you can stay near to the castle should you not want to stray afar, however if you fancy a stroll through the beautiful grounds then the lake makes a perfect backdrop for your photography (and it’s not too far away).
Should the weather not be playing ball on the day, the hotel has plenty of options inside and more importantly lots of space and gorgeous details to work with.
