The Old Deanery Wedding Photography
Sarah & Neil tied the knot back in October last year, infact it’s nearly 12 months – Happy Anniversary guys!!!
After nearly 14 years of friendship Sarah from Leafy Couture and Neil married at the Old Deanery in Ripon, North Yorkshire on 23rd October 2010.
The Old Deanery has such a historic feel with a striking over sized staircase at the entrance, beautiful fireplaces, wooden floors, stunning gardens and real fires. The staff are amazing and very accommodating.
Sarah is an amazing florist so we knew the details and flowers were going to be fab, however we were actually blown away on the day and as you can see from the images below some real thought and dedication had gone into this very special wedding.
The colour’s on the day included warm pinks and reds in the flowers and consisted of mainly roses, cymbidium orchids, ranunculus and viburnum berries with ivy and galax leaves, these complimented the metallic tones of the rest of the décor. Sarah wanted it to feel luxurious and opulent (and it certainly did that!).
Sarah’s dress was from a huge Oxfam bridal store in Bradford that stocked wedding dresses, the dress she fell in love with turned out to be a Pronovias gown in ivory silk, the bridesmaids (4 of them) wore a mixture of dresses purchased from Karen Millen, Coast and LK Bennett.
The amazing headpiece and cuff were made by the fantastic Jane at HF Couture, she used vintage broaches and gifts from Sarah’s mother and bridesmaid to create the stunning piece.
The jazz band were The Dixie Land Jazz Quartet (of which Neils father is a member).
Sarah’s Grandma lovingly baked the cake and The Deli on Duck Hill in Ripon supplied the cheesecake, the pork pies were from the brilliant Appleton’s of Ripon.
This wedding has featured in Wedding Magazine and Brides up North.
